Thankfully our “noble” and “benevolent” drug lords, sorry drug companies, offered us reassuring messages on how they expect to fight Omnicron. Pfizer expects to have lab data on how its injection handles the “new variant” within two weeks, wow two weeks that’s fast. It says it will then decide whether the vaccine “may require an adjustment.” I know I’m going to sleep far better. They just enter a different code into the computer or something, and — bada boom, bada bing! A New formula, funny how they didn’t do that for delta.

NovaVax, our next saviour says it has — somehow — ALREADY started developing a new vaccine to target Omicron and can start clinical trials as early as next week. I didn’t realize the folks at NovaVax are clairvoyant and can predict the future, once again certainly going to allow me to sleep soundly.

Sadly, though it appears that not all the drug dealers, sorry drug companies, can predict the future so well. On the same day that Omicron made the news, Merck announced that its new Covid therapeutic treatment … doesn’t work very well. The honesty, so incredible. When was the last time you ever heard of Big Pharma issuing a press release describing how BAD its big new drug was? Personally, I can’t think of any, not once!

Yesterday’s the New York Post headlined, “Merck says COVID-19 pill may not be as effective as they thought.” I know I hate it when I’m wrong, but history has now been made, as a drugmaker has knock their own products, such honesty so rarely seen, so what’s the catch?

The Post says Merck admitted its new experimental pill, molnupiravir, is really only 30 percent effective in protecting against hospitalizations and deaths in a recent study of 1,433 patients — a drop from a 50 percent effectiveness rate reported in its prior study of 775 patients. Thirty percent is the placebo rate. Oh well. I guess it’s back to the jabs!

A final thought on Merck’s honesty, could the “admission” have anything to do with the fact that folks may want to compare the efficacy of molnupiravir to say ivermectin?

Not to be outdone in the response to this pesky new variant, another bureaucratic giant, the FDA, sprung into action over the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. They boldly lifted a 14-month clinical stay on Inovio’s vaccine candidate, which was shelved last year after the U.S. pulled funding for drugs apart from Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J. This will now allow Inovio’s formula to proceed into clinical trials, so that Inovio can test its injection against the Omicron variant. Like the mRNA drugs, the Inovio “vaccine” works by injecting genetic material into cells. Inovio added that, if its drug doesn’t work against Omicron, it can just “tweak” the formula within a week or two. It’s like they were baking a cake and can change the mix if the results don’t come out as they had hoped, with the only difference being the taste testers are real people.

It’s so awesome how well all these government agencies are working together and getting things done so very, very quickly and can respond with such confidence as if they almost knew what was ahead. Now don’t you dare start with all that conspiracy theory stuff. These are all simply caring & hardworking corporations along with a government agencies and bureaucracies that at a minimum deserve your thanks for not only being able to see the future but so much done, safely and effectively, over Thanksgiving.
