CORRECTION. Yesterday I posted about information about new 7-day quarantines however it turns out I was incorrect. I didn’t realize that the CDC, must have announced the new five-day quarantine rule to media BEFORE updating their quarantine guidance website, which was the source of my information about 7-day quarantines. The CDC website has been updated now.

The correct new CDC policy, is that the CDC now only requires FIVE DAYS of quarantine, injected or not after a person is exposed or even after testing positive. That’s down from 14 days. So, they’ve cut it by almost two thirds.

There’s even a no-quarantine option if quarantine “isn’t feasible.” Like if you’re late for a “Liberal New Year’s Eve party” or perhaps have a major football game to play or something important like that. Then you can follow the changing “science” and just wear a mask.

So, the experts have now dramatically reduced the length of quarantine during the middle of a massive surge in cases. Kinda makes you wonder, huh? After all, you’ve got to figure they must have a pretty good reason to do it now, right?

Of course they do silly, the CDC’s website explains that “The change is motivated by science demonstrating that the majority of SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after.”

Voila, Science!

That’s hilarious. It’s not any NEW science. So what study is the CDC allegedly relying on, is it a new one or is the study from quite a few months ago? The fact that transmission occurs during the early period of infection is so well-established at this point that nobody’s even talking about it anymore.

So, why now the stark change in direction?

Could it be, that with so many people testing positive in the U.S., maybe the economy just can’t afford to have everyone off work for two weeks? Maybe like the NFL or something important like that?

Oh, just to ensure no one accuses the CDC of not following “the science”, they treat the Un-injected folks a little differently than the fully injected, you see, Un-injected are supposed to wear masks for five more days after coming out of quarantine. For those of you playing at home, now guess which other group is also excluded from the “fully vaccinated” group and has to mask up, along with the deplorable Un-injected group?

Bingo! That’s right, folks who were injected more than six months ago but haven’t been boosted, that’s who!

I can hear all those un-boostered injected folks now, “but they promised that if I just…”
