I know this story is getting repetitive but REALLY PEOPLE. We’ve been shouting that cloth masks don’t work for almost two years now. We’ve all seen interviews with multiple experts and learned all about “industrial hygiene” and how physics works and why masking in general is a no-go at stopping the spread!

However, it seems like no one ever reads the memo. This time, it’s the Wall Street Journal, which published a straight news story Sunday headlined, “Why Cloth Masks Might Not Be Enough as Omicron Spreads.” Of course, they’re not suggesting giving up the masks. No, that would be heresy. Instead, they want you to use TWICE AS MANY, or buy more expensive ones. Deep six the homemade masks, in other words.

Now the journamedic (my new word for today’s medical journalists) penning this story at the WSJ isn’t exactly forthcoming about the REASON why cloth masks don’t work. No one could blame you for thinking it has something to do with Omicron or injection failure after reading the ill-informed article. I guess the Wall Street Journal like so many other “news outlets” is committed to informing its readers about SOMETHING, but unfortunately it isn’t necessarily committed to them being WELL-informed, as evidenced by the “masking of the truth!”.

But, on the plus side at least they’re consistent about their love of masking
