It’s comforting to know that supporting the ever-changing narrative is keeping folks busy, you would almost begin to believe it’s a business unto itself, right? Reporting on a a new Yale study, yesterday ABC News ran a story titled, “Evidence emerging that cloth masks are not as effective as N95 masks against COVID.” Really you don’t say!

ABC said the evidence against cloth masks was, uh, emerging. I guess up until now it must have been obscured and hidden in darkness, but thanks to the intrepid efforts of some brave souls we’re starting to see it, a little. “There is emerging evidence that a surgical mask or a hospital or a medical grade mask does a better job of preventing respiratory droplets carrying the virus to other people around you,” said Dr. Adi Shah of the Mayo Clinic.

Emerging. All they had to do was give me a call back in March of 2020 and even I, a flat-earther could have cleared a lot of this confusion up for them, not only that but saved them lots of time and money as well.

In a companion video, the reporter goes on to describe cloth masks as “beloved!” Not the first word nor sentiment that comes to mind for me.

I’m beginning to think that the concession on cloth masks has been forced by Omicron, just like some of these other developments that we’re seeing, like the retreat from testing and publishing case numbers. It’s rather coincidental, isn’t it? Just imagine how it might have gone if they had held on to the cloth mask theory. How would they ever explain to all those folks who cling to masks as a line of defense against contracting Covid, why they were getting sick just as often as the unmasked? That only left them with pivoting to ‘it’s not masking that is ineffective, it’s the type of masks themselves that can be ineffective!”

Odd how the mask experience is paralleling the injections so closely, it’s not the injections that are ineffective it’s just you need more of them? Or how about this golden oldy, if you get injected you won’t acquire to transmit covid, which became we never said the injection will prevent you from acquiring or transmitting covid, no we never said that it may reduce your symptoms which may reduce your chances of hospitalization, or something like that.

It’s a little too early to tell if folks embrace N95 masks like they did the cloth masks. Especially kids. N95 masks are uncomfortable to wear, especially for long periods. But these days anything is possible!

ON a cynical note, it might be a good time to see if Bill Gates recently acquired any businesses or plants that manufacture N95 masks. I’m always a believer of “follow the money”, obviously cloth masks folks could make themselves, which meant no profit left for Gates and his friends, however, N95 on the other hand a whole different story. Cha-ching!
