Yesterday I ran a post about the new narrative, you know Narrative 2.0, the one that allows you to question all things Covid. Well, the Empire (i.e. government, legacy media, social media tyrant corporations etc) struck again. Yesterday, the AP News ran an article headlined, “Omicron wave prompts media to rethink which data to report.”
I know don’t fall off your chairs, it’s a little unsettling to read “media and rethink” in the same sentence. Now it might be Omicron. But SOMETHING sure prompted media to rethink which data to report.
First, the article quotes Katherine Wu, the Atlantic’s main Covid reporter. “It’s just a data disaster,” she said. Not Covid. The DATA itself is the disaster. Poor things, what are intrepid, truth-seeking reporters to do? Next, the article notes the skyrocketing cases over the holidays, but instead of blaming Christmas partygoers, you know Narrative 1.0’s “super spreaders”, the AP calls it “an expected development.”
Wow, in Narrative 2.0, we should expect viruses to spread amongst populations, huh, who would ever guessed? So, keep moving on, nothing to see here! It’s not even NEWS. Could this new non-news possibly have anything to do with the ineffectiveness of the injections in stopping or slowing down the spread?
So, what’s the real news then? This: “The Associated Press has recently told its editors and reporters to avoid emphasizing case counts in stories about the disease.”
That was blasphemy during Narrative 1.0, remember, I know it’s hard it was so like 2021? Avoid emphasizing case counts?? Are you freaking kidding me? I mean, it’s great and everything. But to say this without a tub full of “humble pie” in front of them ready for them to feast on, is kind of ironic, isn’t it? The AP explains the reason is because they want to be more NUANCED: “We definitely wanted people to go a little deeper and be more specific in reporting,” said Josh Hoffner, the news editor who helps oversee AP’s virus coverage.
“Nuanced”, you know something that was totally missing from Narrative 1.0!
It couldn’t have been easy for the media to give up its favorite statistic, cases? What’s it going to do to gin up fear with all the cases to report on? Where did all this restraint and this sudden new desire to portray the pandemic accurately come from? What is the media going to focus on now, instead of cases? Inquiring minds want to know!
The good-looking numbers, of course, they’re on the approved talking points for Narrative 2.0.
“Hospitalization and death rates are considered by some to be a more reliable picture of Covid-19′s current impact on society,” AP’s article professorially informs us. If the media hadn’t already lost all credibility, this newfound quest for accuracy in the media would be a bitter pill to swallow, for those of us who’ve been saying THIS EXACT SAME THING for nearly two years now.
The media is all of a sudden finding LOTS of good news, everywhere it looks, even in the hospitalization data, which you shouldn’t worry about too much anyway, since it’s overestimated: “In many cases, hospitalizations are incidental: there are people being admitted for other reasons and are surprised to find they test positive for Covid,” said Tanya Lewis, senior editor for health and medicine at Scientific American.
Will wonders ever cease, thank goodness we’re making such profound discoveries already so early into Narrative 2.0!
True, we have record numbers of cases, but even the skyrocketing case numbers THEMSELVES MIGHT BE GOOD NEWS. Reporters David Leonhardt and Ashley Wu wrote in The New York Times that “there are some in public health and journalism who believe the current surge — painful as it is — may augur good news.” Good news! “It could be a sign that Covid is headed toward becoming an endemic disease that people learn to live with, rather than being a disruptive pandemic.”
The Leonhardt and Wu article in the New York Times is itself headlined, brace yourselves as I don’t’ want you to fall out of your seats once again, “Reason For Hope.” Hope, yes hope is officially back in Narrative 2.0! The word “worry” — which will be receiving 2020-21 royalties until the end of time, long after civilization as we know it has ended. Don’t believe me, read the entire article, the word “worry” appears nowhere in the article. Not anywhere. In fact, The Empire has the audacity to end the article on this upbeat note: “endemic disease does not need to dominate life the way a pandemic does … [it] appears likely — the next New Year will feel a lot more satisfying than this one.”
See what The Empire did there? They just added to Narrative 2.0: the pandemic’s over. It’s “endemic disease” now. Thanks for the memo!
In this video I'll share with you why I think self-censorship is even far worse than censorship legislation that political tyrants are trying to pass worldwide.
You can watch it directly on Locals, as well on my Rumble channel but not on YouTube as due to censorship I still can't post for 4 more days.
As always I welcome your uncensored opinions and thoughts!
In this video I'll share my thoughts on why some experts, politicians and bureaucratic tyrants are still pushing their failed policies and what we need to do in response.
As always I welcome your thoughts and comments.
Yes our cowardly Prime Minister is at it again, in a recent speech and in an attempt to "memory hole" the facts, he now claims that he never mandated mass vaccinations for Canadians, but only incentivized them for doing so!
Given I'm banned from YouTube currently I'll only be posting it to Rumble as well will post it directly on my Locals so you can watch it there as well.
I'll share my thoughts and as always welcome your comments!
In case you missed it, there was an attempted assassination of former President Trump, and in this video I'll share my thoughts on how mainstream media responded and how President Trump responded!
As always I welcome your thoughts and comments!
