Well, well, well looks like Leanna Wen, useful idiot for the Empire, has fully embraced the Empire’s N 2.0. CNN’s good doctor (using the term very loosely), and former Planned Parenthood president, has done a complete 180 on masking In a segment on all the mask mandate terminations announced yesterday in a variety of Democrat states, Wen was asked if she agreed with the moves. She of course said, hallelujah, okay she didn’t say that but she fully embraced it, sayings:

“I do. There was and is a time and place for pandemic restrictions, but when they were put in, it was always with the understanding that they would be removed as soon as we can. And in this case, circumstances have changed. Case counts are declining. Also, the science has changed! We know that vaccines protect very well against Omicron, which is the dominant variant. Everyone five and older has widespread access to vaccines. And we also know about ‘one-way-masking,’ the idea that, even if other people around you aren’t wearing masks, if you wear a high-quality mask, that also protects you, the wearer, too. In this case, I’m not saying — no one is saying — that no one should wear masks, but rather that the responsibility should shift from a government mandate, imposed from the state or district of a school, rather it should shift to an individual responsibility by the family, who can still decide that their child can wear a mask if needed.”

There you go folks, the leftist are great at “verbal gymnastics” and now have given us this new term “One-way-masking!”. Now I don’t know about you, but that sounds a lot like “you do you and I’ll do me?” Looks like that’s the “out” they’re planning to offer the die-hard maskers. Just mask yourself. Sounds eerily familiar to something like the “sane” among us have been saying for two years. However, the Empire can’t simply come out and say, it’s about individual choice, because if they did that the very next question would be, then why did you take them all away? No folks, instead they have to come up with some Orwellian “double speak” such as “one-way masking!”

The churnalist at CNN does his best to feign a challenge to Wen’s comments by asking about dropping mask mandates at a time when there are still high case numbers in New Jersey. “Um, is that an acceptable number?” he asked. Now put down your coffee as I don’t want you to spill it when you hear Wen’s reply, she said:

“I don’t think we should be looking at case counts at all at this point. Especially when we’re dealing with a milder variant, and when so many people were exposed to Omicron at this point, and therefore have at least some level of protection either through vaccination or immunity.”
Ignore case counts, sound familiar, just saying that during N 1.0 would have resulted in the Empire mandating you watch 40 hours of the Faucinators interviews, truly painful. But now suddenly, Wen thinks we should be focusing on instead of cases? Improved hospitalization numbers:

“The key number that we should be looking at is hospitalizations. If our ICUs and our hospitals in that particular region are not overwhelmed, if they are not over capacity, then we should be able to relax all restrictions. And I actually believe that the first restriction removed should actually be the restrictions on children.”

You don’t say, School mask mandates should be ended FIRST? Guess folks who they’ll want to ascribe the credit to for ending the pandemic, that’s right, themselves! The victory laps are already beginning!

When you hear her talk, your first thought is what did they do with the real Leanna Wen, because this one is talking common sense, there’s no “fear porn” and it’s straightforward, makes you almost believe she’s got a firm grip on reality. Now for those of you who didn’t know, the Empire has a new task force on Covid, I’m sure in keeping with the goal of “out with the old and in with the new” the new task force will start to force and pressure the hospitals to make their Covid numbers “more accurate”, now that hospitalizations are going the be the pivot point. In other words, we don’t need to do all this testing and contact tracing anymore! Just watch the hospitals. If they aren’t overwhelmed, then we’re all good to go.

I’m betting that 110% of you by now (Empire math) are shouting by now … the hospitals have NEVER been overwhelmed. Yes, those of us who live in the “real world” always knew this and I would bet everything I owned that those in the Empire knew this as well, but without that rhetoric how could they ever keep a grip on the “mass formation psychosis” crowd, in N 1.0 it was required thinking.
