Reuters reported on Thursday that it has seen internal documents showing that Facebook will “temporarily” permit posts calling for violence against Russians and Russian soldiers. It will also permit posts calling for the violent death of Russian President Vladimir Putin or Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. I thought Facebook as a company didn’t pick sides and they’re all about protecting their “users” from all forms of “hate & violence”, I’m thinking calling for an open assignation is violence, no?
Well apparently, not, In an email recently sent to moderators, Meta (Facebook’s parent company) explained a change in its hate speech policy pertaining both to Russian soldiers and to Russians in the context of the invasion:
> “We are issuing a spirit-of-the-policy allowance to allow T1 violent speech that would otherwise be removed under the Hate Speech policy when: (a) targeting Russian soldiers, EXCEPT prisoners of war, or (b) targeting Russians where it’s clear that the context is the Russian invasion of Ukraine (e.g., content mentions the invasion, self-defense, etc.).”
Well, that settles it then, Facebook said it’s okay, so I guess it’s okay, after all “whether it hate & violence is in the eyes of the beholder” right? What’s a little bloodshed when it’s done for the greater good?
I know some of you are, virtue signaling paragons of justice are probably thinking is Facebook still going to enforce all its other community policies still. Of course, why wouldn’t they, it would be hypocritical if they didn’t. So, be comforted you won’t see any posts questioning mask efficacy or suggesting that people should take that stuff they give to “Mr. Ed”, you know the horse stuff, to treat their Covid infections. And of course, none of that anti-science stuff, you know questioning climate change, no sir, that my friend is truly hateful and just shows how little those “deplorables” care about humanity and for those types of heinous crimes, they’re going to virtual Siberia, you know Facebook jail!
We just can’t have THAT kind of talk in a civilized online community like Facebook can we? Murder, and assassinations fine. Knock yourself out, after all those things happen in movies all the time so really, it’s just life imitating art, quite progressive wouldn’t you say?
For some odd reason Russia banned Facebook in that country last week. Cancel culture I suppose!
In this video I'll share with you why I think self-censorship is even far worse than censorship legislation that political tyrants are trying to pass worldwide.
You can watch it directly on Locals, as well on my Rumble channel but not on YouTube as due to censorship I still can't post for 4 more days.
As always I welcome your uncensored opinions and thoughts!
In this video I'll share my thoughts on why some experts, politicians and bureaucratic tyrants are still pushing their failed policies and what we need to do in response.
As always I welcome your thoughts and comments.
Yes our cowardly Prime Minister is at it again, in a recent speech and in an attempt to "memory hole" the facts, he now claims that he never mandated mass vaccinations for Canadians, but only incentivized them for doing so!
Given I'm banned from YouTube currently I'll only be posting it to Rumble as well will post it directly on my Locals so you can watch it there as well.
I'll share my thoughts and as always welcome your comments!
In case you missed it, there was an attempted assassination of former President Trump, and in this video I'll share my thoughts on how mainstream media responded and how President Trump responded!
As always I welcome your thoughts and comments!
