Not sure about you but I’m thinking that when it comes to “horseshoes coming out of your ass” Pfizer has the market cornered. Don’t believe me, check out this fortuitous timeline, it’s crazy:

• Between December 2020 and December 2021: VAERS receives over 3,000 reports of vaccine-induced alopecia, after first or second dose of Pfizer Covid vaccine.

• February 2021: Arena Pharmaceuticals begins third round clinical trials for its new drug, Etrasimod, which treats, you guess it, alopecia.

• December 2021: Pfizer buys Arena Pharmaceuticals for $7 billion. (Arena’s website is gone now, swallowed up by Pfizer; use the Wayback Machine if you go looking.)

• March 23, 2022: Pfizer issues a press release announcing, “Positive Top-Line Results for Phase 3 Trial of Etrasimod” (now called Ritlecitinib), which for those following at home treats, alopecia!

• March 27, 2022: The Academy Awards begin, sponsored by your friends and mine Pfizer.

… During which, he man, Chris Rock makes a joke about Jada Smith’s alopecia at the Academy Awards.

… Which then prompts Will to go all “Hancock” on Chris Rock slapping him and acting very put out on live TV and says some Hancockesque non-family-friendly stuff despite that not only does he still get the Oscar, but gets to keep it and is not mandated to take any anger management classes.

… Since then, misinformation media becomes fascinated with alopecia, how it hurts women, and why Jada Smith was so understandably upset about the joke. Media muses out loud, If only there were a safe and effective treatment! And guess what there is, thanks Pfizer. And the icing on the cake, everybody’s talking about the Oscar’s, which would have been long forgotten by now. Giving celebrities an opportunity to not only pat themselves on the back but remind us “little people” just how amazing the “beautiful people” are!

Staged, a fake slap, who am I to say it’s not like they’re actors or something. But it sure was a great night for the sponsor of the Oscars, Pfizer, a real marketing triumph. Pfizer’s on a roll, just think how lucky it was that Chris Rock told THAT exact joke (either written by him or a writer) and THAT exact joke made Will Smith mad enough to turn all Hancock, act out so totally out of character for him. Which coincidentally led to the promotion of Pfizer’s new $7B medication that treats a painfully obvious side-effect of its Covid drug.

I mean, this stuff practically writes itself!
