Freezing Freeland’s plan for fighting inflation? Duh, supporting Ukraine Stupid!

In a recent Epoch Times article, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is quoted Monday saying, ensuring Russia loses its war against Ukraine is part of Canada’s plan to address high levels of inflation. And here I was thinking it was going to involve seizing bank accounts!

“I absolutely do believe that an important part of Canada’s inflation fighting strategy has to be to support Ukraine, and to ensure that Ukraine does win in the war against Vladimir Putin,” Freeland told the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.

“I think we all understand the chief driver of those elevated energy prices is Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.” That might be what the folks who get propagandized by CBC (Cash Buys Coverage) may be thinking, but some of us aren’t quite so gullible.

Freeland was testifying on Bill C-30, the Liberal government’s plan to provide GST rebates to a portion of Canadians to help with the cost of living. Government is truly a make work project, first create the problem, than offer a solution to fix said problem created and of course the solution creates a further problem, well you get the point.

Her comments on Ukraine came after Liberal MP Yvan Baker used his questioning time in committee to plea for that country and thank Freeland for her support for “the people of Ukraine as they fight Russia’s genocidal war.” While I’m no apologist for Putin and Russia, the Ukrainian leadership is not comprised of saints. With all due respect to MP Baker, Ukrainian officials are not transparent when it comes to disclosing where the assistance dollars are winding up!

Baker, who has a business background, said he believed the war to be a “key reason” for higher food and fuel prices. I’m sure it couldn’t have anything to do with the insane green climate agenda, you know the one that’s shutting down any kind of energy production worldwide that doesn’t involve wind, solar or tidal. Don’t believe me, check out what the EU countries have been doing, it’s called energy suicide, and there was only one way for prices to go, up, up and away!,

“So, Ukrainians are not just fighting for themselves, they’re also fighting for us,” Baker said. Well at least that’s more than the MP’s in Ottawa are doing on our behalf!

“In my view, if we want to stop inflation, Ukraine needs to win the war decisively,” he said. He specified this would mean retaking Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, and the Donbass, which is currently disputed. Now I don’t mean to quibble or anything Yvan but what about all the money we’re printing and sending over that we don’t have, won’t the tax hikes needed to pay for that be just another form of inflation, just saying!
‘Putin’s Price Hike’ isn’t a new talking point folks, the merry band of idiots south of us, you know the Biden administration, has been blaming Putin for everything! Have hemorrhoids, it’s Putin’s fault if not for sure it’s Trump, or more than likely both of them!

Biden has called Russia’s invasion the “biggest single driver of inflation” and used the phrase “Putin’s price hike” to address the rising prices and his falling poll numbers!

Oil prices had been steadily climbing since the spring of 2020 and did spike after the invasion, but they have been decreasing since late spring 2022. Little side point, when the last guy was running the show down south, he had this crazy idea of “energy independence” you know tap into the natural resources of the US and allow for managed and sensible energy exploration. Funny thing not only did prices for fuel fall but foreign energy dependance fell as well. In fact the US became a net energy exporter, which might have had a little something to do with their robust economy at the time. Now with respect to food, maybe the crazy policies on nitrogen and additional direct and indirect tax/surcharges on farmers, animals and meat production all in the name of “climate change” maybe, just maybe they could be what’s causing our high food prices. Of course I’ve yet to mention the shuttering of the economy for a virus.

“It’s not the war in Ukraine. It’s really domestically caused constraint on the supply side,” Ross McKitrick, a professor of economics at the University of Guelph in Ontario, previously told The Epoch Times. That’s crazy talk Ross, facts, those just get in the way of a good narrative, on a side note might be a good time to open a few new bank accounts.

Inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, was already entrenched before Feb. 24 when Russia invaded. Statistics Canada noted on Feb. 16 that shelter costs in January were rising at the fastest pace since 1990.

While saying that Ukraine winning the war is important to deal with inflation, Freeland also acknowledged that policies implemented by governments during the pandemic played a role in generating inflation. You don’t say Christine!

“Even absent Vladimir Putin’s illegal and barbaric invasion of Ukraine, the recovery from the COVID recession was going to be challenging. We did the unprecedented thing of shutting down the economy, and the large industrialized economies did the same thing,” said Freeland.

“And we also did the unprecedented thing of providing an economic backstop, and so unwinding that was never going to be smooth,” she added.
Okay Christine let me see if I got this right, you along with the rest of the ruling class dipwads, I’m including not only the Liberals here, but the Greens, NDP, Conservatives and the BLOC in this, as virtually all of them supported this insanity. You folks, F’d up the economy, but far from accepting any teensey weensy bit of responsibility for it, are blaming anything and everything else, but if that wasn’t enough, adding insult to injury not only are we supposed to pay for the original F’up, but you’re doubling down and spending more virtual money, which any reputable economist will tell you, won’t help but hurt even more, does that about sum it up?

It's a wonder that they don’t set up wind turbines in Ottawa, after all it’s full of windbags, just saying!
