Alberta Premier Danielle Smith to Amend Human Rights Code on COVID-19?

For starters, it’s nice to see that at least one provincial premier has “balls!”

In a first in Canada, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has said her government will move ahead with amendments to the Human Rights Code to make it illegal to discriminate based on COVID-19 vaccination status.

Smith, who won the premiership earlier this month following a United Conservative Party leadership race, first announced the policy change while campaigning for the party leadership.
Let me get this straight, we have a sitting politician who’s going to implement a policy that she ran on, one which requires courage and leadership in order to do so as it defies the narrative. Well, that’s a first in Canada!

Speaking at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Smith said she wanted to give businesses that are still discriminating on the basis of vaccination status “fair warning” that the policy change is coming this fall.

“We are going to be making a serious pivot in that regard,” Smith said.

Adding “And I would just ask if you would work with us to align your policies with the direction that we want to go in Alberta, because we want to send the message to the community and to the world community and to the investment markets, that this is a place that is open for business, that this is a place that believes in freedom.”

The new premier also said Alberta is a place that believes in free enterprise and it’s not going to make arbitrary decisions that “disproportionately impact the small and medium businesses in this province.”
Is it just me or does it seem like Danielle is channeling her inner “Ron De Santis”

The announcement comes after Smith last week said in her first press conference just hours after being sworn in as premier that those who didn’t get vaccinated for COVID-19 are the “most discriminated-against group” she has seen in her lifetime. Of course, she caught a “lot of flak” for this comment due to the fact that we’re living through the “victim Olympics” and everyone and every group feels more hard done than the last not to mention she’s not exactly the pin up girl of the left!

On October 11th Smith said “This has been an extraordinary time in the last year in particular, and I want people to know that I find that unacceptable,” and added “We are not going to create a segregated society on the basis of a medical choice.”

Like every other province Alberta’s response to Covid was to implement a vaccine passport system and shut down businesses and places of worship, like other provinces. Not to mention throw pastors in jail whenever possible.

As mentioned earlier she caught a lot of “flak” and later issued a statement to “clarify” her remarks.
In the subsequent Oct. 12 statement, Smith said her intention was to underline the mistreatment of unvaccinated individuals.

“I want to be clear that I did not intend to trivialize in any way the discrimination faced by minority communities and other persecuted groups both here in Canada and around the world or to create any false equivalences to the terrible historical discrimination and persecution suffered by so many minority groups over the last decades and centuries,” she wrote.

So far, a good start, let’s hope that what happened to Liz Truss doesn’t happen to Danielle Smith, primarily sold out by her own party when attacked by the “globalist and narrative pimps,” so far so good.

I know we’re all quick to tell politicians when they’re doing a “piss poor” job, but it’s important that not only do we applaud them when they do the “right thing” but clearly demonstrate that we’re behind them, especially when it’s someone who’s defending our freedoms. I’ve put in a link below to the government of Alberta page that allows you to send Danielle a message. You don’t have to live in Alberta and or even Canada to send her a quick note of encouragement and/or appreciation.

And last but not least, pray for her she’s going to need it!

Today's Video - Justin Trudeau now claims he never "mandated vaccination" only incentivized it!

Yes our cowardly Prime Minister is at it again, in a recent speech and in an attempt to "memory hole" the facts, he now claims that he never mandated mass vaccinations for Canadians, but only incentivized them for doing so!

Given I'm banned from YouTube currently I'll only be posting it to Rumble as well will post it directly on my Locals so you can watch it there as well.

I'll share my thoughts and as always welcome your comments!
